Training: Error Proofing

Participants should learn many ways to prevent errors at the source using the "error proofing" or "poka-yoke" process. Learners should gain insight about this important approach and where to look for error-proofing opportunities. Generally, a class like this includes a 1/2 day in the classroom and a 1/2 day on the shop floor applying the concepts.

• How to make the operator's work easier through error proofing
• "Autonomation" - creating smart work cells that signal the operator when an error occurs.
